A specialist in international finance and global health innovation and development, Mexican-American Sergio is an Oxford MBA Trinity Scholar with expertise in finance, investing and health tech innovation.
Sergio completed his MBA as a Trinity Scholar at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, in 2019, focusing on impact investing and social impact. Before that he spent more than six years in corporate finance as an investment banker in growth markets, including Latin America and India at Goldman Sachs.
At Goldman, Sergio helped lead initiatives to secure financing in Mexico and Brazil, develop optimization metrics for risk management, and develop an analytics platform within the Corporate Treasury Division.
He has also worked on global health efforts with USAID, Rotary International and CURE International among others. Sergio has founded two health care start-up companies, has travelled and hiked every continent outside of Antarctica, and speaks four languages, including Korean and Spanish.
