Business Development Manager (Not for Profit)
Location: Negotiable and flexible working.
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum.
Social and Sustainable Capital (SASC), a remarkable social enterprise that straddles the worlds of finance and charity, is seeking a Business Development Manager to develop and manage a strong pipeline of organisations that qualify for investment to help them deliver long-term social change.
SASC is an ambitious fast growing social investment fund manager providing flexible finance to inspiring social sector organisations and which puts social impact at the heart of everything they do.
Since it was established in 2013, SASC has already made loans to date of a phenomenal more than £130m to non-profit organisations across the UK working on issues such as poverty, homelessness, social isolation and unemployment, helping them to grow and deliver sustainable solutions to social issues.
The role will be responsible for a dedicated function which will extend and leverage SASC’s existing wide network of contacts, continue to build the organisation’s reputation in the social investment and charitable sector, and also generate strong leads that convert to a steady stream of SASC borrowers to the investment team.
SASC are seeking proactive self-starters likely to be either working in the not for profit sector or at an interface selling or marketing to it. They will have a thorough understanding and empathy for how charities function and the routes in to developing meaningful conversations with decision makers. They will be excellent relationships builders, with the ability to establish credibility from the outset with CEOs and senior executives in the not-for-profit sector, as we as having a good understanding of and demonstrable commitment to social investment.
