Location: Hyde Park, London W2 + home-based working.

Salary: £50-60K per annum, depending on experience.

Contract: Permanent, full-time.

The Royal Parks, the charity that manages over 5,000 acres of diverse parklands, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London, is seeking a Head of Fundraising to provide leadership across a new and developing fundraising portfolio.

The Royal Parks is a charity created in March 2017 that manages some of the most visited attractions in the UK including; Hyde Park, Kensington Park, the Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park, alongside two areas of special interest - Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. These beautiful and historic parks receive 77 million visits every year.

The charity is seeking a Head of Fundraising to develop and deliver a sustainable, long-term fundraising strategy which generates the income and ROI needed to deliver The Royal Parks’ new organisational strategy and mission. The Head of Fundraising will maximise opportunities from existing fundraising programmes and a variety of fundraising channels, increasing value from trusts and foundations and tribute fundraising, and creating test and learn approaches for individual giving, legacy giving, supporter journeys and digital engagement. The role will also oversee the charity’s significant and ongoing partnerships with major grant funders for projects such as Greenwich Park Revealed and Gloucester Gate Playground in Regents Park.

The Royal Parks is seeking candidates with substantial fundraising experience at a senior level, excellent interpersonal and relationship development abilities, and expertise in marketing, digital and direct fundraising to deliver individual giving campaigns that enhance supporter acquisition and journeys. Ideally, you will have proven experience of growing fundraised income across all fundraising streams but specifically individual giving, legacy and tribute giving and grants management. You will also be able to demonstrate a strong and effective leadership style with a track record of inspiring and motivating teams and individuals to deliver key objectives. Finally, you will have a passion for heritage, education, well-being and nature, and a commitment to The Royal Parks’ values of being responsible, excellent, inclusive, open and respectful.
