Head of Corporate Partnerships
Location: Flexible location with travel to the Leicester central office & clients as required
Contract: Permanent, 36 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (for an exceptional candidate)
Home-Start UK, featured in the Christmas John Lewis ad, is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Corporate Partnerships role to spearhead the development of a new corporate partnerships strategy to capitalise on the halo effect of their sector-leading partnership with John Lewis and Waitrose. The strategy will identify and secure new corporate partners to significantly increase income, voice and reach to enable Home-Start UK to support more struggling families.
In addition, the role will deliver first class account management and stewardship for the charity’s existing portfolio of corporate partners to maximise their potential.
It will involve developing a robust cultivation and stewardship plans for all corporate partnerships, ensuring engagement and support from across Home-Start UK and the Home-Start network to help deliver the partnerships, as well as developing a strong pipeline for new business corporate prospects that ensures financial targets are met and exceeded.
The role will lead on the annual budget process for corporate partnerships, working closely with the Finance Team, delivering income as per the corporate partnerships financial targets. It will also work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to identify the work and stories most likely to be valuable and appeal to this income stream, ensuring they are communicated effectively to corporates.
Home-Start are looking for a clear track record of managing corporate partnerships between business and charities and experience of developing a strategy for growing corporate income through acquisition and delivery of corporate partnerships. You will have evidence of business development including understanding need, development of proposals and pitches from initiation to launch as well as of effective planning and organisational skills including project planning, costing, prioritisation and time management. You will have excellent negotiating, presentation and reporting skills and you will be a good influencer and communicator. Finally, you will share a passion for Home-Start’s work supporting families through compassionate, non-judgemental support and working with volunteers.
