Location: London WC1N

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Salary: £50-55,000p.a.

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is one of the world’s leading children's hospitals. Since its formation in 1852, the hospital has been dedicated to children’s healthcare and to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses.

The Great Ormond Street Hospital charity supports rebuilding and refurbishment at the hospital and helps support families and children, as well as funding research into children’s health and life-saving medical equipment.

Following a recent organisational restructure, the charity is launching a recruitment drive this October to support a new and bold five-year strategy and investment in its fundraising function with the creation of a new Fundraising Directorate. The new Directorate will have a headcount of around 130 staff members and will bring together into one team all areas of fundraising to support the charity’s drive for significant income growth.

This includes a Senior Philanthropy Manager; the philanthropy team raises funds from high net-worth individuals and charitable foundations including a significant number of one million pound plus donations. With a track record of engaging donors and establishing effective long-term relationships, the team manages a substantial high value programme. The team will be central to helping deliver a bold capital campaign, the development of innovative new products to underpin fundraising for child health research and growing international partnerships.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join one of the best known, well-loved and most successful charities in the UK as it transforms its fundraising function to help create a better future for seriously ill children.
