Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is one of the world’s leading children's hospitals. Since its formation in 1852, the hospital has been dedicated to children’s healthcare and to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses.
The Great Ormond Street Hospital charity supports rebuilding and refurbishment at the hospital and helps support families and children, as well as funding research into children’s health and life-saving medical equipment.
Following a recent organisational restructure, the charity is launching a recruitment drive this October to support a new and bold five-year strategy and investment in its fundraising function with the creation of a new Fundraising Directorate. The new Directorate will have a headcount of around 130 staff members and will bring together into one team all areas of fundraising to support the charity’s drive for significant income growth.
This includes a Head of Community to lead the Community Fundraising team to deliver growth in voluntary net income and an exceptional supporter experience. The role will also involve being the strategic lead for the charity’s community portfolio and develop and deliver plans for patient family engagement, in aid of and DIY fundraising, regional partnerships, in memory and in celebration fundraising.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join one of the best known, well-loved and most successful charities in the UK as it transforms its fundraising function to help create a better future for seriously ill children.
