St John Ambulance, the volunteer-led health and first aid charity which responds to emergencies and supports and saves lives, is seeking a Fundraising Programme Manager to support delivery of a change programme to achieve significant income growth across the Fundraising Directorate.

St John Ambulance is a significant and complex charity, turning over £100m annually with social enterprise income streams from commercial first aid training, ambulance and other NHS support, and event cover as well as other sources of income in addition to fundraising.

This is a key role within the Fundraising Directorate working across the Fundraising leadership team to oversee key cross directorate and organisational change projects, identify internal dependencies and manage those appropriately.

The Programme Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of the overall Directorate business plan, through effective oversight of delivery, managing key projects, proactive problem solving and hands-on project management where necessary to deliver key priorities. The role will, when required, assist in the management of major and high profile programmes that have significant and broad organisational impact, as well as standalone projects of varying complexity. The Programme Manager will also manage the implementation of new solutions and changes within the Fundraising Directorate through strong business relationships and robust project and programme management.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing large and complex solution delivery projects or programmes and of implementing business change projects. You will have a proven ability of managing relationships with senior stakeholders in an organisation alongside excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels
