Interim Business Development Director
Contract: Interim, 3 days a week, with some flexibility for additional days if significant bid to work on.
Salary: Day rate circa £400 per day

The charity is seeking an interim director to lead on Business Development and the identification of new business opportunities that are a strong fit with the BRAC UK strategy.
The role will guide, manage and mentor the BRAC UK programmes team and colleagues across the world to deliver high quality funding proposals as well as develop strong and trusting relationships with potential implementing and funding partners. Finally, they will collaborate with colleagues in BRAC International, BRAC USA, BRAC Bangladesh and BRAC University to develop funding bids for projects that help them meet their strategic goals.
This is an exciting time to lead the programmes team with a number of important funding projects in the pipeline for our work in Uganda, Bangladesh, Tanzania and for a major opportunities with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
In addition, the role will be also be expected to support other areas of the Programme team’s work including strategic programme direction and developing core technical areas of capacity within the programmes team to ensure that BRAC UK is able to meet its objectives and add value to BRAC and our clients globally. This also includes maintaining a wide range of external relationships with other organisations and individuals across all sectors that have potential to add value to BRAC UK’s mission and goals, as well as programme management in terms of ensuring that BRAC UK’s accountability obligations in relation to projects and contracts are met to a high quality and timely standard. However, the main focus of the role will be Business Development.
