We’ve talked a lot about digital over the last 12 months, thanks to the arrival of our digital director, Deniz Hassan. How we think about and implement digital in the charity sector has come a long way in recent years, but we are still way behind the commercial sector. We firmly believe it doesn’t have to be that way. Digital and tech is moving at speed; charity leaders need to pick up the reins and drive change or get left behind.

Last month Deniz wrote a blog that sparked much conversation. To summarise, Deniz passionately outlined how charities have ‘dropped the ball on digital’, and issued a call to action to charity leadership: let’s get together and find a way forward.

Building on Deniz’s blog and the conversation that ensued we felt that it would be a good idea to bring people together for a bit of a chat.  We are now going to be hosting an event in December entitled Digital The Whole Truth: Cultural Change.

This event, which will be held on Wednesday 7th December from 1-4pm at Eight Moorgate, 1 Dysart St, EC2A 2BX is set to be a deep dive into the vital role of organisational culture and team structure in digital transformation.

After a spot of lunch we’ll hear Linda McBain, Chief Digital Officer at Save the Children UK share her experiences of embracing a digital first culture. AAW’s Deniz Hassan will share his vision for the future of digital in the sector, and bringing a refreshing commercial perspective, Simon Waldman will draw on his experience in C-Suite roles in organizations such Amazon, Sky and The Guardian around making change happen.

We’ll finish up with a Q&A panel discussion ending at around 4pm and for those of you who would like to join us afterwards, we’ll be hosting drinks until around 6pm.

The event is free to attend, however places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Our events get booked up quickly, and this is set to be a brilliant conversation, so please email Jane on to secure your place today.
